"Son/Daughter...we need to talk...about your Fortnite addiction."

Remember Pokemon Go? It was released in the mid-Summer of 2016 and, if you recall, created quite the little sensation amongst our kids. You couldn't go anywhere without seeing groups of smiling, giggling teens and pre-teens wandering around holding their cell phones out looking for the next Wartortle. You don't see these kids doing this much anymore, if ever. Why? Because fad video games come and go like a rain storm. Today, it's Fortnite, or Fortnite: Battle Royal. It's a free, player vs player (PvP) online game where you are dropped onto an island and battle it out with 100 other people until there is one player left standing. It's got weapons, but it's blood/gore-less and it's cartoony. It's got humor, it's got dances. To me, it's like a Looney Tunes short subject...Bugs, Daffy, Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam all brawling. It's silly fun, and yes, nearly every teen across the globe is addicted to it. Sigh...now what? You can either do something to limit the screen time, or just wait till Summer when the "storm blows over". Great article here about it from the New York Times.

Also, since it's Mother's Day weekend, here's one for all the great Mom's out there.
